I couldn't believe it. Sitting in my car with my book and coffee taking a break. Looked up and saw the adult Red-tailed hawk right in front of me. You will see a full screen shot below - that is what I saw. Went to visit with her for a minute and took a few closer shots.
Enjoy.
Two branching eyas still hopping around.
These photos are posted for my friend Gary and Diane who have shared many many Red-tailed Hawk days. I miss Big Mamma

What is Branching:
To see what branching looks like see some old photos from the nest back in 2009. This is what they are doing on the top of the nest and branches nearby.
Enjoy.
At lunch went over for a shot walk in the woods. At the nest I saw a lot of flapping going on. Two eyas for sure bouncing around. I expect them to fledge later this week.
Today as I walked to bank I saw movement where nest is. Saw a flash of wings. Until I looked at photos I didn't realize it was a eyas. See the rust color on chest and small face.
Hopefully they will fledge in woods
