At lunch time today I was taking a couple of shots when the female red tail went into the woods across the street. It was a really pretty shot but just as I was checking it she came right towards me low and fast. Enjoy

Thanks Chris for letting me put up the photos you took over the weekend. Chris is an amazing photographer and also a volunteer for the Toronto Wildlife Centre. She volunteers most weekends and I must say I admire, respect and commend her for all the wonderful work she and the TWC does. Thanks Chris.

Female feeds eyas 2twice in hour and a half. May 29, 2010

Janice and I went to see the red tails. We were very lucky to see the female bring in food twice. Highlights were watching female bring in a rat and feed all 3 eyas, then they turned backwards to whitewash the trees. The eyas were fighting over the food and could be heard crying for more food all morning.
Lots of practice flapping of wings - a couple of times it was very scary as they went up and out. Poor Janice cryed out a couple of times thinking the little eyas were going to fly right out of the nest lol.
