A mix of photos of the two juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. July 9, 2013

So happy to finally see the babies. They were having a great time in the rain and flying. Enjoy a mix of shots. First time I have really seen the hawks this year. Both female, both healthy, both flying really well and beautiful.

One of the joys is watching the juveniles fly. They scream, they flap and they go around in circles looking for a good place to land. This one landed in the trees and I was sure he would fall off. Once he settled off he went again back the same way. lol Mom had to be near with food.

Red-tailed Hawk - 2 juveniles fledged

At lunch I saw two juvenile Red-tailed Hawks flying around the building. Scary. One juvenile almost hit 2 times. That is the life of a urban hawk. The female was nearby as well. Thrilling to see them.

Fledged hawks calling today

Did not see them but heard them calling. Heard two fledged hawks for sure. May be a third.

Red-tailed Hawk adult spotted tonight June 25, 2013

I couldn't believe it. Sitting in my car with my book and coffee taking a break. Looked up and saw the adult Red-tailed hawk right in front of me. You will see a full screen shot below - that is what I saw. Went to visit with her for a minute and took a few closer shots. Enjoy. Two branching eyas still hopping around. These photos are posted for my friend Gary and Diane who have shared many many Red-tailed Hawk days. I miss Big Mamma
