The Red-tailed Hawk family has succeed in having two eyas. Very hard to see them but I can hear them and see them flapping around high in the nest.

Red-tail Hawk soaring

Nothing better than looking in the sky and seeing red-tailed hawk soaring around and around.
The nest looks fine.
Let's hope they use it again.

Pair of red-tails hawks seen soaring around work Jan 3, 2014

On Friday at work both male and female were seen soaring around the Civic Centre. They were circling and soaring.

Nice to know they are hanging around.
The nest did survive the ice storm.

Female was sitting on top of government building today. I see only  one hawk soaring daily. Work being done in nest area a new path. Want to wander under old nest to see if any feathers.

Female Red-tailed Hawk Sept 30, 2013

Saw the female Red-tailed Hawk at lunch today sitting in her usual tree by work.  Juveniles would be all gone now and getting ready to migrate.

She likes to sit facing the sun.  Amazing bird.

Red tail being chased by little July 17

On the drive into office I saw one of the juvenile fly over the driveway being chased by a red-winged blackbird. Good to know the red-tails are still in area. No photos only visual sighting. Heard the hawk just before it flew. Very hot out there for poor birds

Red-tailed Hawk juvenile in flight

Watching them fly is amazing. In one of the shots look at how they go straight up in the air then change the direction to go straight across. The people at the restaurant are wondering what the hell are those noisy big birds. Amazing.

Red-tailed Hawk juvenile crying for food non stop

I love hawks and I love the sounds they make. It is so easy to find them once you know their call. This one has true personality. Love the pantaloons.
