The Red-tailed Hawk family has succeed in having two eyas. Very hard to see them but I can hear them and see them flapping around high in the nest.

Adult - she was screaming on the pole. Please note: that I take the photos with a 400mm lens and do a 50% crop on all my shot. It may appear that the hawks are very close to me but they are not.

Female Red-Tailed Hawk brings in dinner July 2, 2010

Female Red-Tailed hawk came in with dinner while I was there. She was sitting on the construction site with the food. All 3 chased her trying to grab it.



Food is dropped and as usual the female juvenile takes it all. The other two keep on crying for food.

Flying with the juvenile Red-Tailed Hawk June 2, 2010


today the hawks were flying all over the place. They were also flying so low that horns were honking. Very scary watching them do this. when they are high they are beautiful.
