The Red-tailed Hawk family has succeed in having two eyas. Very hard to see them but I can hear them and see them flapping around high in the nest.

3 Red-Tailed Hawks soaring around building Feb28, 2011

The day started off pooring rain and after lunch the sun came out. Jack came down and told me to come with him. That meant one of two thing the hawks are near or Carol has cookies. Well lucky for me there were 3 red-tailed hawks circling around the building. Did not see them on the nest but one was sitting on the public art piece by the nest. Hears hoping. Time to bring the binos to work. Yahoo.

Another hawk family - Female building nest. Feb 2011

This incredible female red-tailed hawk is beautiful, strong and very very fast. Gary and Dianne's Red-Tailed Hawks are very busy getting the nest ready for the 2011 season. I am hoping mine will return soon.

Female Red-Tailed Hawk vs one crazy squirrel Feb 4, 2011

One squirrel kept going up and down the tree looking at the hawk. Carol and I watched him boldly head out on the limb. Look at the squirrels tail and he is very ticked off at the hawk.

Big Mama looks at the squirrel - we thought she might want him for lunch. But no he just wanted to bug her.

The female red-tailed hawk sat in the tree all morning just watching the activity at work.
