Over the past week the Red-tailed Hawks have been seen soaring together above the parking lot, town centre and YMCA.
Not sure the nest is but there are two hawks so with some luck they will nest nearby.

Red Tailed Hawk seen at nest Jan 25, 2012
Over the past two days I have seen the red-tailed hawk family at work. The first time the female hawk was sitting on the branch where they nested last year and then today I saw her chasing the pigeons around the Scarborough Civic Centre. When I left at 5pm she was still sitting on the back side of the building.

When ever I see a red-tailed hawk I know it will be a good day. I walk to my car at lunch and see this beauty flying by. He landed right in front of me on the lights.

Red-tailed Hawk family - all four - Soaring in sky August 15 2011
Today I was thrilled to see my family of hawks soaring high above the Scarborough Civic Centre.
The sound of the juvenile red-tails calling got my attention. I stood and watched them soar around and around.
As I drove around the corner by the TTC I saw two juveniles in the tree calling to each other. There was a groundhog on the ground and the one swept down over him.
Both fledged red-tails look really good.
My friend Eileen said in Cherokee, red tails are called "tookini" or small hawk.
I was honoured to see them today.
Offically today the migration has started. Osprey, American Kestrels, Sharp Shinned Hawk and Northern Harriers were seen flying by the bluffs.
